The city of Pescara

It's  time I paid tribute to my trusty travelling companion . Always dependable, can do just about anything . Thank you Stephen and Janettè, I never leave home without it
Oh ,and Mum finds it good for toenails.
Short goal today, just 60kms and I'd looked at this bit on Google earth.
Wonderful!  Oh, and those fishing platforms with big sheds on them, turns out they're restaurants. You can watch them catch your fish for your dinner.
Don't you all just love a boatyard ,with bits of gear and nets around
This platform is on the end of a breakwater at Bardela.
And then things turned to custard !
5 bloody big hills in the next 10 kms. We're actually fit enough to handle them but they're so damned boring. Grinding away in low low.
On the top of one of them we found a commonwealth cemetery with a lot of kiwis in it.
Graeme gave us a NZ cycling shirt when we left and asked us to wear them when we found one of his uncles mates.
" I'm pretty sure this would have been one of them Graeme"
I love these little 3 wheel trucks. They can turn on a sixpence and are great for some of the narrow streets.
This is Ortona and I think I have altitude sickness. To get in to the bank here , you must enter this tiny cubicle while it X-rays you. Large people can't bank here ?
What the hell have they got against large people in this country? Our shower door was no more than a foot wide !
Probably the hardest 60kms we've done yet but we like Pescara, we like our pub and my god , we sleep well
