Martinsicuro

The Alba hotel had a lockup down the street and when we picked up our bikes, Christine's had another flattie !.mumble mumble
See the wheel left on the bike stand? We know now to tie them up by the frames
The next 60kms to Martinsicuro is all flat but also mostly built up so we were weaving in and out of traffic a lot. We're finding riding in Italy easier now that we understand the rules
ie. There are none. No one seems to wear seat belts, motorbike riders don't wear helmets ( and ride on either side of the road) and just about everyone's on a cell phone including the police! Mind you, it works.
How's this for a bright cycle way
The spaniards built this fort in the 16th. Century.
We are following the SS16 mostly but running parallel all the way along this coast is a magnificent pay road. The Italians can sure build motorways
There's only one more day on the coast before we turn inland for Umbria. Assisi has been on Christine's bucket list for years so she's busy planning the next stage
This is a lovely hotel for only €50 which is cheap for Italy. We put on the glad rags and go in search of MEAT !!
Ahh , this'll do. Then it's a coffee along the street where they have wifi.
