Back to Basel

Last night we stayed in Engen camp again and in the morning explored the old part of town. They were having a morning mass so Christine sat in for the last few minutes. The churches in Germany are beautifully maintained, as are their historic buildings .
Not far away is Aach where the waters from the Danube reappear at this spring. Quite amazing !
It was time to make our way back to France so we took the route that followed the Danube west ,to its source at  Donaueschingen. The spring that it bubbles from was fenced off from the public while they are doing repairs and landscaping. Never mind , we get the idea
The road back to Basel was through ski fields and very Swiss looking villages. And , bloody busy !
Tonight we're back at the same campsite, petit port, just outside Basel. We couldn't get a wifi connection the whole time in Germany, not even in McDonalds, that's why the blogs all came through at once.
I've just met a dutchman with a guitar so I'm off to see him.
