Day 29. Calafat or bust

For those that are behind ,us a warning about this section. The route follows road 56b . More interesting and very quiet but NO accommodation until Calafat. 132kms away. Not even a camp.
We started early while it was cool. These fishermen had just come in.
We used to think we had it hard as kids hay making . Try this.
People are very shy until you give them a cheerful 'hello'   This lady made us stop then rushed inside and bought us out some cake
Workmen were cutting down these Plane trees . The man on the lollipop didn't hear us until we'd gone past and then we noticed the tree was about to fall . Yikes!
Morning tea break was spent chasing mangy dogs away.  Because we are so quiet we often surprise lizards, snakes or in this case a turtle
These 2 Frenchmen were traveling the other way.
The goat herder was pleased to see us
At least there's lots of watering stops in the form of well or springs . Needed for the horses I guess
Yes I know you've seen storks before, but I just love how they're a part of the village life.
By the time we'd reached Cetate and 120 Kms we were getting a bit worried. These police were very helpful and told us of a 'hotel' further on. It was just on the outskirts of  Calafat. 132kms today and totally whacked !
