Loire Atlantique

Ok it's official
. That was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Goes to show, just as you shouldn't shop on an empty stomach, you also shouldn't choose a hotel when you're dog tired. Blame the wind yesterday !
10kms up the coast at Brem -sur-mer ,we made an executive decision to head inland in the direction of Nante.
St Nicholas church, was where we would turn in to head for La Chaise Giraud
11th century!
Right, we found that ok, celebrate with a croissant
12 kms more to Coex, then Apremont.
Beautiful town with a chateaux looking Down from one side and a church from the other
This little pub is owned by a Welsh couple .live Jams on Friday and Saturday night, and all the rugby
The chimney maker in this town was an artist
Mache' and then Palliau. One pretty town after another. It's better than on the coast actually and no tourists . There is a cycle way but it rambles all over and the roads are quiet anyway.
The goal today was to cross into Loire Atlantic ,it's 2pm when we reach the border, perhaps another hour?
WWI memorial . No hotels here anyway
On to Corcoue'-sur-Logne to ask at the Mairie (council office ) gites only ,but you must take them for a whole week.
They sent us on another 10kms to here.
St Philbert-de Grand Lieu. Lovely village .One pub in town and we got the last room !
And it's nice !
80 kms for the day but it means we only have a short 25 kms to reach Nantes
